Nejčastější chyby a několik rad k lepšímu zvládnutí části „Speaking“
FCE Typical mistakes at the part Speaking:

- In this kind of films there is lots of actions.
- There are some cookers (kuchař(ka) )
- They wearing the uniforms.
- I wouldn’t want to be in a radio show.
- We are focused in generally on our children.
- I am interesting in my dogs.
- I spend my free time to care about my dogs.
- In the first photo I can see three mens.
- I can see one children and one woman.
- I would choose some adventure trip.
- One people.
- A lot of young people which have a lot of hobbies.
- My larger family consists of………… ( Širší rodina )
- I want a lot of things to buy. ( what would you do if you had a lot of money?)
- I don’t have any job.
- There is a man with a gun and he tries to shoot someone. (in a photo)
- It’s the same as sailing in a ship.
- On a boat you can get sailing disease.
- Yes in these days I agree that young people sit in front of computers but it’s not anymore.

Tips for next time!
1. Remove chewing gum before you enter the exam. It really affects pronounciation.
2. Don’t say “my mind is blank” and “I don’t know how to describe it”. This is just showing the examiners that you are not good enough to pass.
3. Don’t crack your knuckles, look around, tap the table or pick your nose. All this was done during the mock exam on Saturday the 17th! It is extremely disrespectful for your partner and it shows the examiners that you have a lack of interest.
4. During part 3 only a couple of pairs managed to get to the three minute mark. Remember always describe what you can see in the pictures plus answer the two questions that you are asked.
5. Don’t say anything in Czech. For example someone started their English speaking part with this answer…….. “Takže i think my” …. It just shows a lack of knowledge or laziness. Discourse markers in speech will help you with this problem.
6. Try not to say ummmmmm. It’s extremely irritating and you could fail because of it. “ummmm i like my ummmm car because it ummmm goes very ummmm fast.”
